Martha Danly is the senior vice president of product at Sezmi. An entrepreneur with a passion for inventing new products, Danly brings to her position 25 years of experience in technical product strategy, product management, and marketing. She blends longstanding commitment to the human side of products—their usability and design—with technologies that deliver scalable solutions through internet-based platforms.

Before joining Sezmi, Danly led the product and marketing teams at a variety of firms, including Onsale, an online auction company, and Ventro Corporation, pioneer in B2B marketplaces. As an independent consultant for Silicon Valley tech startups, she built up a range of skills relevant to Sezmi, including consumer video (One True Media), social media (ShareThis), mobile communications (Firefly Mobile), and online ad networks (Turn).

Danly began her career as a principal software engineer for speech synthesis and recognition systems at Wang Laboratories, then served as VP of product management for leading computer reseller PC Connection. Danly holds a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Harvard University, with a focus on signal processing and speech, and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Speech Communication Group at M.I.T. She received a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in linguistics from Macalester College.
